Amman, Jordan, persis.or.id – Persatuan Islam (PERSIS) has once again demonstrated its commitment to the Palestinian cause by sending a relief team to Jordan to distribute humanitarian aid. Two shipping containers filled with food supplies will be delivered directly to the people of Gaza, who are suffering from the ongoing Israeli military conflict. Additionally, PERSIS Peduli Team will provide assistance to Palestinian refugees in Jordan.

The team, which includes LAZ PERSIS Executive Director Heri Sholehuddin, Distribution and Utilization Director Ahmad Sofian, and Social Work Division of PP PERSIS and Chairperson of SIGAB dr. Sonny Ramdani, arrived in Jordan on August 11. The team is working to ensure that the aid reaches those most in need.

Heri highlighted the significance of this humanitarian mission, especially in commemorating Indonesia's Independence Day. "This is more than just material aid; it's a message of solidarity from the people of Indonesia to the people of Palestine," he said. "We hope that through our support, the spirit of freedom will also reach those struggling in Gaza."

LAZ PERSIS is encouraging the public to continue contributing to this humanitarian cause. With more donations, the organization can provide even greater assistance to those affected by the conflict.

Ahmad Sofian emphasized the importance of on-the-ground assessments. "We aim to ensure that all donations from the Indonesian people reach the intended beneficiaries," he said. "This is our responsibility as representatives of the community."

Donors can contribute to the relief effort by depositing funds into the LAZ PERSIS BSI account 7112222507 or by donating online at s.id/palestina_merdeka.
